Understand plans and quotas

Last updated: August 2026

Happy Diabetes has a free plan and paid plans so you can start learning before deciding whether the advanced tools are useful for you.

What Free includes

Free gives access to core learning and practice:

  • Quizzes, flashcards, and games.
  • Foundation guides.
  • Blog articles and recipes.
  • Notes and calendar.
  • A small daily Alfred credit allowance.
  • Welcome bonus credits after onboarding when available.

Some AI tools may be limited or unavailable on Free outside the discovery bonus.

What Plus adds

Plus is for people who want to use Alfred and AI tools more regularly. It currently includes more Alfred credits, meal photo estimations, glycemic report analyses, Plus guides, grocery lists, and weekly menus.

What Max adds

Max is for users who want the broadest access. It currently includes more Alfred credits, the full guide library, more glycemic report analyses, and higher meal estimation access.

How Alfred credits work

A text message usually uses fewer credits than a message with a file or image. Attachments cost more because they require heavier analysis.

Credits reset according to the limit shown in your account. If something seems wrong, check your current plan first, then use the contact page with the email linked to your account.

Why some tools have limits

Limits keep AI tools reliable, reduce misuse, and make the product sustainable. They can also protect you from accidentally sending too many files while testing.

The exact limits can evolve, so the pricing page and in-app counters are the best source for your current allowance.
